College Cost Projector
College costs increase at about twice the inflation rate. Current
increases have averaged 5% to 6%. This College Cost Projector estimates
how much college will cost when you are ready to enroll.
In the "Current One-Year Cost" field, enter the total
cost of attendance, including tuition, fees, room and board, books,
travel and incidental expenses. According to the College Board,
the 1998-99 average costs were $10,458 for students attending
public colleges and universities, and $22,533 for students at
private colleges and universities. Out of state students attending
public colleges and universities pay an average total cost of
$15,632.
